Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965) is an American actress from the United States. She is best known for her role as the deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The series ended on August 13, 2012, after the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick declares that she is Jewish and says she goes to Passover seders.
